BECKI WHITTINGTON

Mosaics have been a part of my life’s expression since I experienced putting my first story together in art form at Long Lots Junior High School, Westport, Connecticut. I returned to creating mosaics in 2012 when my mosaic entitled “Heart of Broomfield” won first place in the Broomfield Days Poster Contest. This piece is now part of the permanent art collection of the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library in Broomfield, Colorado.

I continue my life-long learning by participating in workshops, classes, and exhibits as part of Colorado Mosaic Artists and Lakewood Arts Gallery Co-op. Supporting art advocacy is important by my membership in Colorado Mosaic Artists as well as a previous position on their board.

One of my mosaics was displayed in U. S. Senator Cory Gardner’s Washington D.C. office. Other work is on permanent display at The Maine Dowd Eisenhower Library, Broomfield, CO and The Children’s Hospital, Aurora, CO. Private collections include addresses from the United States, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Barbados.

My roots started in the Midwest, were nurtured on the East Coast, and are firmly held in Broomfield, CO where I raised my children. My studio is also located in Broomfield.

My work is for sale and commissioned pieces are always possible. Please contact me!
